Brave Browser is the idea of Brendan Eich (one of the founders of the Mozilla Project). This is a very secure open source web browser that is based on the Chromium / Blink engine, and aims to block website trackers and remove annoying internet advertisements. By doing so, it will replace them with advertisements sold by the Eich company.
The browser also aims to increase your online privacy by sharing less data with advertising customers. This is done by targeting web ads through analyzing the user’s search history (anonymously). Dare to choose to maintain 15% of advertising revenue for itself, pay content publishers 55%, 15% advertising partners and, (this is a good part) give 15% for browser users. You, the user, can then contribute to blogger and or other web content providers through the micro payment system.
Brave has been specifically designed to block ads and trackers, which slow down the speed of your browsing, spend your bandwidth, and try to access your personal data. Developers want to display ads that are specifically designed and clean, to help fund website owners and other Brave users.
Brave is indeed equipped with some practical security tools to help protect your privacy. For example, by integrating HTTPS Everywhere, Brave ensures that your connection to the website is always the safest. The browser also blocks tracking pixels and tracking cookies, and you can also set your default search engine for Duck Duck Go, instead of the standard Alphabet machine.
Overall, Brave is a very fast web browser that has a clear and trim interface, which is very easy to use, and a pleasure to navigate on the web. After testing, we can navigate to our favorite websites almost every time, without any visible disturbances. Security tools are the first level, and the fact that you can help the developer by giving back to the community is a real bonus feature. Overall, Brave is clearly a browser that needs to be checked.
